InflationRank is an informational tool that aggregates publicly-available federal economic data and presents it alongside our own composite scoring methodology. The site does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, real-estate, or professional advice. The information shown is intended for general education and comparison only. Decisions about where to live, work, invest, or buy property should be made with the help of qualified professionals who can assess your specific situation.

Data accuracy

We pull data from authoritative federal sources (the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Census Bureau, Energy Information Administration, and others) plus a few private sources (Zillow Research, industry insurance surveys). Federal data is generally the most reliable available, but it can lag (BEA Regional Price Parities are released annually; Census ACS uses 5-year rolling averages), be revised, or be temporarily unavailable. We do not warrant that every number on the site is current, complete, or free of errors.

Our composite "InflationRank Score" is our own calibration of public data. It is one perspective on cost of living, not an official ranking. Different reasonable methodologies will produce different orderings.

How to use the site

You may use InflationRank for personal, non-commercial reference. You may share specific page URLs and screenshots in articles, blog posts, or social media so long as you cite InflationRank.com as the source.

You may not:

• Scrape, mass-download, or republish the site's content without permission
• Repackage our score or methodology as your own work
• Use the site in a way that disrupts service for others
• Misrepresent our scores as official government rankings

Intellectual property

The InflationRank name, logo, scoring methodology, page layouts, and original written content are © InflationRank and protected under U.S. copyright law. Underlying federal data is U.S. government work and not subject to copyright.

Third-party content

The site links to external websites (federal agencies, data sources, partners). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Map tiles and library scripts are served by third parties under their own terms (OpenStreetMap, CARTO, Cloudflare CDN, etc.).

No warranty & limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, InflationRank and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site or the data it presents.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes that can't be resolved informally must be brought in U.S. courts.
